CRAY RAIL MUSIC

MUSIC THAT FEEDS THE SOUL

When you are living in a chaotic moment, music can be something you can hang onto for "shelter from the storm." Cray Rail plays and writes songs in modern folk, blues, and classic rock styles and does so with passion and intensity, uncompromising lyrics and blistering guitar solos. Whether Hendrix or Dylan, The Police or the 1990s Grunge this music has lasted and continues to be relevant today. When the “three chords and the truth” meet up with a plugged-in Telecaster and well-practiced blues chops something powerful happens. Join my email list and let the music feed your soul.

BLUES.FOLK.REVOLT.

My influences are primarily from the Boomer generation and before and proudly so. Some names include Freddie King (whom I have conducted research and written a short biographical sketch), Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan and John Lennon, but there is so much more that informs my values and aesthetic as a performer and recording artist.

CHILL. LISTEN. ENJOY.

While these are my primary influences there are a host of secondary and tertiary that come from the so-called “Greatest Generation” and my own generation – X. Being that I’m also an educator and I find myself around a lot of young people their music inevitably makes its way to my ears.

I look forward to hearing from you about these writings and recordings that I will share and comment on.

My current output is not fully available online yet, but I will work to remedy this in the coming months. For now, you can listen to me on a few different platforms.
